Mount Etna Tour

Leave landing pier by de-luxe motor coaches, with the assistance of skilled guides (one for each motor coach) for a short sightseeing of Messina driving through Piazza Duomo (The Cathedral with its astronomic clock) - Corso Cavour - Via Boccetta.
Proceed to Mt Etna (distance of abt 100 kms) driving along the Autostrada and thence through the scenic road which winds around the slopes of the mountain and passing the town of Giarre and the villages of Santa Venerina and Zafferana.
Arrive at Mt. Etna , Crateri Silvestri area, at about 1950 metres above sea level.
Mt. Etna is the Europe’s largest active volcano, the slopes soar up to over 3296 metres and the flanks are covered of cones and craters. From there you will be able to gaze out across the Catania Gulf and to view the wood, orchards and vineyards from the vantage point. But of course the major attraction is the crater and the remnants of the awe inspiring streams of lava ( pax can see also lava fm 2001 and 2002 eruptions)
After the visit of the Craters and a brief free time to shop for local handicrafts, leave Mt. Etna and drive back to Messina.
