Chora was one of the first settlements in Greece to be decreed as “ historical, traditional and protected”. From wherever you stand in the picturesque village of Chora you catch a glimpse of the KASTRO (castle). This formidable fortress is visited by thousands every year. A cobblestone pathway will take you from Chora to the gates of the Kastro. With views as far as Crete and Antikythera, you will spend three hours exploring the Venetian laneways of Chora dotted with traditional Kytherian shops.
