This half day tour will take you to the two capitals of Malta, Valeta and Mdina. You will be driven to the modern capital of Malta, Valeta ,where you will visit the Barraka Gardens and enjoy stunning views to the Grand Harbour. Follow the guide to the Triq Republikka and admire the most impressive buildings constructed by the Knights of St. John : the Aubereges, the Grand Masters Palace and the St. John's Co. Cathedral. You will also have the chance to see one of Caravaggio’s masterpieces, the Beheading of St. John.
Afterwards ,you will be driven to Mdina , a unique medieval city built in the 9th century in the centre of Malta as a fortress used by soldiers to supervise the whole area. The city is a labyrinth of cobbled streets and full of palazzos, churches and mansions. See the impressive Cathedral of the Conversion of St Paul in the main square. Admire the traditional Maltese architecture and take unique photos. Return to the ship.
