Tour to Northern & Rural Malta
This tour will introduce you to the most rural aspect of the island of Malta. Heading to the village of Mellieha, you will pass by St. Paul’s Bay, where is believed that Saint Paul have shipwrecked. The first stop is allocated to Mellieha, a truly picturesque village on the north pick of Malta. You will admire the view from the high location down to Ghadira Bay and then visit a baroque church and the sanctuary dedicate to the lady of Mellieha (sanctuary is only open in the mornings). You will go on to the bay of Ghajn Tuffieha , have time for photo shooting and pass by the village Manikata. Thence, you will pass Il-Grotta ta' San Martin’ , a chapel located inside a cave. Afterwards, you will visit the villages of Zebbiegh and Mgarr. Mgarr is a small rural village surrounded by vineyards. Afterwards, you will make your way back to the ship and make a last stop at the Medieval City of Mdina to see the Roman Catholic Dome of Mosta, a Roman catholic church of circular shape which is the third-largest church dome in Europe. Return to the ship.
