Tour to Medieval & Roman Malta
After your disembarkation from the ship , you will be driven to Mdina , an extraordinary medieval city built in the 9th century in the centre of Malta as a military fortress to supervise the hole area. The city is a labyrinth of cobbled streets and full of palaces, churches and mansions. You will visit the Cathedral of the Conversion of St Paul located in the central square. Admire the traditional Maltese architecture and take advantage of unique photo opportunities.
Afterwards, you will continue your tour to the old town of Rabat which shares the name of Maroco’s capital. You will walk throw the picturesque streets and visit the impressive St. Paul's Church located at the central square. The next stop is allocated to St. Paul's Grotto which is believed to be the place where Saint Paul was resting during his visit to Malta. The final halt of this tour is scheduled at Mosta Dome, a Roman catholic church of circular shape which is the third-largest church dome in Europe. You will visit the interior of the temple and admire the impressive dome decorated with geometric shapes. You will also learn about the miracle of Mosta bomb. During World War II , a German bomb pierced the central pillar and did not explode not destroyed the dome.
