Join us on an exciting tour through the ancient history and mystery of the Venus de Milo, one of the most famous ancient Greek statues. Created in the 3rd century BC, the statue symbolizes love and beauty and is believed to represent goddess Aphrodite.

The excursion starts from Milos port. The first stop will be the Archaeological Museum of Plaka, taking you into a deep view of the island’s rich history. After that, enjoy free time to walk around the  cobblestone pathways surrounded by picturesque Cycladic homes. If you wish, you can relax with a refreshment or explore the stunning Panagia Korfiatissa Church, which has an amazing view similar to the one that Santorini offers. The tour continues to the ancient site where the Venus de Milo was originally found. Here, guests can admire the location and learn about its significance before visiting the early Christian Catacombs. From this location, you can admire the scenic Klima, the ancient bustling port now famed for its colorful fishermen’s boathouses, known as “syrmata”. Last stop of this excursion is  at the Ancient Roman Theatre, included in Greece’s most beautiful ancient theatres. Seven seat rows are still intact from ancient times. While reconstruction works take place lately there, you can admire it panoramically and take some pictures from the above. After that, return to your bus and enjoy the route back to Milos port and your cruise ship.
